925 silver - also called sterling silver - is a high-quality silver alloy that is ideal for jewelry: beautiful shine, skin-friendly and durable.

Our 925 sterling silver consists, as it should,. of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper.

It can be identified by the small "925" stamp, usually on the inside of the piece of jewelry.

Not all 925 sterling silver is automatically nickel-free - but with Maitea, it is. Our silver jewelry is 100% nickel-free and hypoallergenic.

However, if you are sensitive to copper, you should opt for our medical-grade stainless steel

We use 18K gold for our gold plating because it has a warm, rich gold tone and is particularly skin-friendly.

The K stands for carat - 18K means that the gold consists of 18 out of 24 parts pure gold.

All Maitea gold-plated jewelry pieces have an extra-thick premium coating.

The silver pieces are waterproof and suitable for everyday use.

For the gold-plated or rose gold-plated versions: do not expose to water or moisture for extended periods.

The coating is thick and high-quality, but can be worn away by cosmetics, soap, salt or chlorinated water.

Preferably store in a dry place, protected from light so your jewelry stays beautiful for a long time.
