We are jewelry experts and material nerds.
In our search for the perfect jewelry, we repeatedly encountered the same problems: allergies, discoloration, lack of knowledge & false promises.
A brand that can do it all: design, quality and genuine customer service.
We knew there was another way. So we immersed ourselves so deeply in the subject that we soon knew more about jewelry materials than the exhibitors at the trade fairs themselves.

Maitea was founded by Mayar & Julika - two people hopelessly obsessed with transforming jewelry into little pieces of perfection.
Fun fact: The two are also a couple - so Maitea was literally founded out of love.

925 sterling silver is so named because it consists of 92.5% pure silver - with a small copper "muscle" to help your jewelry retain its shape.

PVD-coated surgical steel is the only jewelry coating that can withstand 24/7 water exposure. Anything else? Meh, it fades.
