Maitea GmbH Return & Refund Policy
At Maitea, we strive to ensure you’re satisfied with every purchase, therefor you can easily initiate your return Here.
However, if you need to return an item, please review our return and refund policy below so you don't miss anything.
1. Return Period
You have the right to return your product within 30 days of receiving your order. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange because of our small funding.
2. Conditions for Return
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition as when you received them.
- Original Maitea Cotton pouch must be included in the return.
- Items that are customized or personalized are not eligible for returns, unless defective.
3. Return Process
- To initiate a return, simply find the initiate return button in the footer.
- Once your return request is approved, we will send you a return confirmation email.
4. Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approved Refunds: If approved, your refund will be processed, and the credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
- Partial Refunds: In some cases, only partial refunds will be granted (e.g., for items not in their original condition or missing parts).
- Non-Refundable Items: Custom-made, personalized items, or sale items cannot be refunded.
5. Exchanges
If you received a defective or damaged item, you may request an exchange. Please contact us within 30 days, and we will replace the item at no additional cost.
6. Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the item. Maitea GmbH does not cover return shipping costs due to our status as a small business.
7. Exceptions
Certain situations where we cannot accept returns:
- Items on sale or purchased during special promotions.
- Damaged items that are not a result of Maitea GmbH’s actions or defective manufacturing.

At Maitea, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry and want you to enjoy it worry-free. We offer a 2-year warranty to cover manufacturing defects and ensure your satisfaction. Please see all details below.
Quick Facts
Warranty Coverage: 2 years for stainless steel, PVD-coated stainless steel, and sterling silver items.
Replacements: If a defect is found, we will replace the item or provide one of equal value.
Returns: Damaged or defective items may be returned by mail for inspection and resolution.
Jewelry Care: Some tarnishing of sterling silver is natural and can be cleaned easily. Gold-coated silver will eventually revert to silver, as it cannot be permanently waterproof.
Warranty Coverage
Steel and PVD-Coated Steel Jewelry
Covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects, such as material flaws or issues with coating adhesion. This includes discoloration and tarnishing of any form.
Please note that steel jewelry usually lasts much longer than that, even though our warranty is only 2 years.
Sterling Silver Jewelry
Covered for 2 years against defects in materials and workmanship.
Guaranteed to maintain its natural silver color. Only when exposed to salt water or extreme conditions might silver turn black. The guarantee does not cover silver turning black, as this is a natural process of silver under exposure to salt or other elements.
Clasps, Chains, and Closures
Covered for 2 years against breakage due to manufacturing defects.
Gemstone Settings
Covered for 2 years against loosening or displacement of stones due to manufacturing issues.
Exclusions and Limitations
Gold-Coated Sterling Silver: The warranty does not cover the fading or wearing of the gold coating. It is impossible to coat silver in a permanently waterproof way. The speed at which the jewelry reverts to silver depends on use and personal body pH levels.
Size-Adjustable Sterling Silver Rings: Breakage caused by excessive bending or misuse is not covered. These rings must be adjusted gently to ensure durability.
Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches, tarnishing, fading, or discoloration caused by daily use, exposure to chemicals, or improper care are excluded.
Lost or Stolen Items: Maitea cannot replace lost or stolen jewelry.
Unauthorized Modifications: Repairs or alterations performed by non-Maitea personnel void the warranty.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
To request warranty service:
Contact Maitea at support@maitea.de with your proof of purchase.
Provide photos and a description of the issue.
Ship the defective item to Maitea for inspection at:

If the claim is approved, we will:
Replace the defective product with the same or a similar item of equal value, or
Issue a partial or full refund if a replacement is not possible.
Note: Maitea reserves the right to determine warranty coverage based on the inspection of the item. Your jewelry is crafted to be cherished for years, and proper care will ensure its longevity.
